Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at colellaj12@gmail.com. Returns will need to be sent to the address provided in your return authorization email.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

At Éclat Living, we carefully curate home décor, furniture, lighting, textiles, tableware, and everyday living pieces. We want you to feel confident in every purchase. If your order is not right for you, this Return and Refund Policy explains how to request a return, exchange, replacement, or refund.

1. Return period

You may request a return within 30 calendar days after the item is delivered.

A return request must be submitted within this 30-day period. Items sent back without first receiving return authorization from Éclat Living may not be accepted or refunded.

If an order is delivered in separate shipments, the 30-day return period applies separately to each item based on its recorded delivery date. 

European Union, European Economic Area, and United Kingdom customers

If your order is delivered to a country in the European Union, European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, you may have a statutory right to cancel an eligible online purchase without providing a reason.

Our 30-day return policy supplements and does not replace these statutory rights.

To exercise your statutory cancellation right, you must send us a clear statement that you wish to cancel the purchase within 14 calendar days after receiving the goods. If one order is delivered in multiple shipments, the applicable period begins after you receive the final item from that order.

After notifying us of the cancellation, you must return the eligible goods within 14 calendar days.

When the entire eligible order is cancelled, we will refund the purchase price and the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option that we offered. Additional charges for expedited, premium, or optional delivery services are not refundable unless required by law.

We will issue the required refund within 14 days after we receive the returned goods or, where permitted, after you provide acceptable evidence that the goods were sent back, whichever occurs first.

You are responsible for the direct cost of returning a change-of-mind purchase unless the product is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or we agree otherwise. We may reduce a refund only to account for diminished value caused by handling beyond what was reasonably necessary to inspect the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.

Statutory cancellation rights may not apply to certain exempt products, including personalized or made-to-order goods, rapidly perishable products, and sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons after their seal has been broken.

Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer right available under applicable law.

2. Return eligibility

To qualify for a return, an item must:

  • Be in the same condition in which it was received;

  • Be unused, unworn, unwashed, unburned, unassembled, and uninstalled;

  • Include all original parts, components, accessories, manuals, tags, and protective materials;

  • Be returned in its original product packaging whenever reasonably possible; and

  • Be accompanied by a receipt, order confirmation, or other proof of purchase.

Please handle and repack returned products carefully. Items that are damaged because of insufficient return packaging may be ineligible for a full refund.

Éclat Living reserves the right to decline a return or reduce the refund when an item shows signs of use, washing, assembly, installation, alteration, accidental damage, missing parts, or other handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it.

3. How to request a return

To begin a return, email eclat@eclatliving.store with the subject line:

Return Request — Order #[your order number]

Include:

  • Your full name;

  • Your order number;

  • The item or items you wish to return;

  • The reason for the return; and

  • Photographs or video when the item is damaged, defective, incorrect, incomplete, or materially different from what was ordered.

We will review the request and provide return instructions if it is approved.

Do not ship an item until you have received return authorization and the correct return address. The authorized return address may differ from the address shown on the original parcel because products may be fulfilled from different facilities.

Returns sent to an unauthorized address, returned to the sender without approval, or shipped without sufficient identifying information may be delayed, refused, or ineligible for a refund.

4. Return shipping costs

Change-of-mind returns

For returns based on preference, size, color, style, suitability, or another reason unrelated to an error or defect, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Except where applicable law requires otherwise, original shipping charges and return shipping costs are not refundable for change-of-mind returns. For an eligible cancellation of an entire order by a customer in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, we will refund the cost of the least expensive standard outbound delivery option that we offered. Additional expedited or premium delivery charges remain nonrefundable unless required by law.

If Éclat Living provides a prepaid return label for convenience, the cost of that label may be deducted from the refund. We will disclose the amount before the return is approved.

For large, heavy, fragile, or oversized items, return transportation can be expensive. Any estimated return shipping charge will be communicated before you confirm the return.

Damaged, defective, or incorrect items

When we confirm that an item arrived damaged, is defective, or is different from what you ordered, Éclat Living will provide an appropriate resolution at no additional cost to you. Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

  • A replacement;

  • Replacement parts;

  • A prepaid return label;

  • A partial refund; or

  • A full refund.

Do not discard the item, packaging, shipping label, or damaged components until we confirm that they are no longer required.

Return tracking

When arranging your own return shipment, use a trackable shipping service and retain the shipping receipt and tracking number.

Éclat Living is not responsible for an unauthorized return or a customer-arranged return that is lost, misdirected, or damaged in transit.

5. Damaged, defective, incorrect, or incomplete orders

Please inspect your order promptly after delivery.

Contact us within 7 calendar days after delivery when an item:

  • Arrives visibly damaged;

  • Is defective;

  • Is the wrong product, color, size, or variant;

  • Has missing parts or components; or

  • Is materially different from what you ordered.

Include clear photographs of:

  • The full item;

  • The damaged or defective area;

  • The external shipping package;

  • The internal protective packaging; and

  • The shipping label.

For fragile products, please retain all original packaging while the claim is being reviewed. Shipping carriers and fulfillment partners may require photographs or other evidence before approving a damage claim.

Reporting visible shipping damage within seven days helps us investigate the issue promptly. This reporting period does not limit any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

Minor differences in color, grain, glaze, texture, pattern placement, measurements, or finish may occur because of screen settings, lighting, manufacturing processes, natural materials, or handmade production. These normal variations are not necessarily defects. However, contact us if the product is materially different from its description.

6. Items that cannot be returned

Unless the item is damaged, defective, incorrect, or applicable law requires otherwise, we cannot accept returns for:

  • Gift cards;

  • Products clearly marked “final sale” or “non-returnable” before purchase;

  • Personalized, customized, engraved, made-to-order, or specially configured products;

  • Items that have been used, washed, worn, altered, repaired, assembled, installed, or damaged after delivery;

  • Candles or fragrance products that have been lit, burned, opened, or used;

  • Bedding, pillows, duvet inserts, mattress-related products, towels, and similar textile products after they have been opened, used, or washed, where return restrictions are permitted for hygiene reasons;

  • Products missing original parts, accessories, components, tags, or packaging;

  • Live plants, flowers, food, or other perishable products, if offered;

  • Hazardous, flammable, or restricted materials that cannot legally or safely be returned; and

  • Products purchased from another retailer, marketplace, or seller.

Sale-priced items are returnable unless the product was clearly identified as final sale before checkout.

Contact us before ordering if you are uncertain whether a product is returnable.

7. Furniture, oversized, and assembled products

Furniture and oversized items must be inspected before assembly or installation.

Unless an item is defective or was incorrectly supplied, furniture that has been assembled, installed, modified, or used cannot ordinarily be returned.

For an approved change-of-mind return of furniture or another oversized product:

  • The item must be unused and unassembled;

  • All parts, hardware, instructions, and original packaging must be included;

  • The customer is responsible for return freight costs; and

  • Any nonrefundable freight, special handling, lift-gate, room-of-choice, or delivery-service charges will not be included in the refund.

Photographs of the item and packaging may be required before the return is approved.

8. Exchanges

The fastest way to obtain another item, size, color, or variant is usually to return the eligible item and place a new order.

You may contact us to request an exchange, but exchanges depend on product availability and return approval. We cannot reserve inventory while a return is in transit.

If the replacement item costs more than the returned item, you will be responsible for the difference. If it costs less, the remaining eligible amount will be refunded to the original payment method.

9. Order cancellations and changes

Contact eclat@eclatliving.store as soon as possible if you need to cancel an order or change its delivery information.

We will make a reasonable effort to accommodate the request, but cancellation or modification is not guaranteed after an order has entered processing, fulfillment, or shipment.

If an order has already shipped, it must be handled under the standard return process after delivery.

Refusing delivery or returning a parcel to the sender does not automatically cancel an order or guarantee a full refund. Any nonrefundable shipping, carrier return, interception, or handling costs caused by an unauthorized refusal may be deducted from the refund where permitted by law.

10. Return inspection

After an authorized return is delivered to the designated return facility, it will be inspected to confirm that it meets this policy.

Please allow 5–7 business days after recorded return delivery for inspection and processing.

We will email you when the return has been approved, denied, or requires additional information.

Receiving a returned parcel does not itself guarantee that the return will be accepted. Approval depends on the condition of the item and compliance with this policy.

11. Refunds

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the order.

Unless the return resulted from our error or a confirmed damaged, defective, or incorrect product, the refund will ordinarily cover only the eligible purchase price of the returned item. The following amounts are generally nonrefundable:

  • Original shipping or delivery charges;

  • Return shipping charges;

  • Expedited shipping charges;

  • Special handling or oversized-item fees;

  • Gift wrapping or optional service fees; and

  • Duties, taxes, brokerage fees, or customs charges paid directly to a carrier or government authority.

If a discount was applied to the order, the refund will be based on the amount actually paid for the returned item after applicable discounts.

For promotions involving multiple products, bundles, free gifts, or minimum purchase amounts, the refund may be adjusted if returning an item causes the remaining order to no longer qualify for the promotion. Any promotional gift connected to the returned purchase may also need to be returned.

12. Refund processing time

Once we approve and issue a refund, we will send a confirmation email.

Although Éclat Living generally processes an approved refund within 5–7 business days after receiving and inspecting the return, banks, card issuers, PayPal, and other payment providers may require additional time to post the funds to your account.

The time required for the refund to appear is controlled by the payment provider and may vary.

Refunds cannot ordinarily be issued to a different card, bank account, or payment method from the one used for the original transaction.

13. Missing or delayed refunds

If you have received a refund confirmation but do not see the funds:

  1. Review the original payment account used for the purchase;

  2. Allow the payment provider’s normal processing period;

  3. Contact your bank, card issuer, or payment provider; and

  4. Email us at eclat@eclatliving.store if the refund still does not appear after the provider confirms that its processing period has passed.

Include your order number and refund confirmation when contacting us.

14. Undeliverable and returned-to-sender orders

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

If an order is returned because of an incorrect or incomplete address, an unclaimed parcel, repeated unsuccessful delivery attempts, or refusal of delivery without prior authorization, we may deduct the original shipping charge, carrier return charge, and reasonable reshipping costs from any refund where permitted by law.

We will contact you when a returned-to-sender parcel is received or confirmed by the carrier. Additional payment may be required if you request reshipment.

This section does not apply when non-delivery resulted from an error by Éclat Living or its delivery provider.

15. Packages marked delivered but not received

If tracking shows that a package was delivered but you cannot locate it:

  • Check around the delivery location;

  • Ask household members, neighbors, building management, or reception staff;

  • Review any delivery photograph or carrier notice; and

  • Contact the carrier promptly using the tracking number.

Then contact us at eclat@eclatliving.store with your order number and the steps you have taken.

We will assist with an appropriate carrier inquiry. A package marked delivered is not automatically eligible for an immediate refund, but we will review the available tracking information and circumstances fairly.

16. Chargebacks and payment disputes

Please contact us before opening a chargeback or payment dispute so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the concern.

Opening a payment dispute does not expand or replace the rights provided by this policy or applicable law. We will provide the payment provider with relevant order, delivery, communication, and return records when responding to a dispute.

17. Consumer rights

This policy is intended to provide clear, consistent return procedures. It does not exclude, restrict, or replace any non-waivable warranty, cancellation, refund, or consumer-protection right available under applicable law.

Where applicable law provides you with greater rights than this policy, the applicable legal requirement will control.
